Background on WAVES Conference 2024
The World Association for Vedic Studies (WAVES) Conference 2024, themed
“Prevention, Management, and Resolution of Conflicts in Vedic Traditions”,
was held from 13 to 15 September 2024, at the Hindu University of America
(HUA) in Florida. Co-organized by the World Association for Vedic Studies
(WAVES International) and the Wider Association for Vedic Studies (WAVES,
India), this event marked the 16th International Conference and the 28th
India Conference.
Since its founding in 1996, WAVES has been a platform for scholarly
dialogue dedicated to preserving and disseminating Vedic knowledge.
The 2024 conference, continuing this tradition, focused on applying Vedic
insights to contemporary challenges, including sustainability, social justice,
health care, and broader themes of global conflict resolution. The event
featured a diverse array of academic presentations, panel discussions, and
plenary talks, uniting global scholars to explore how Vedic traditions can
address modern human challenges.
